SHRUTI SADANI

My Journey in a nutshell..
Diverse experiences in different cities
(international and domestic), organisational set ups and projects has helped shape my perspective on outcomes, collaboration and design!

CHENNAI
I hail from the humble city of Chennai where as a child i loved playing with material and experimenting with art.
This creative spark led me to my first
gig at DDB Advertising in Bangalore, where art met strategy and my journey began...

CANNES, FRANCE
Mentored by very passionate mentors and creativity on my sleeve i bagged
BANGALORE
4 National Awards and a Cannes Young Lion within 3 years. But, there was a constant question and a void where I questioned if advertising and art were my long-term path despite all the highs.

'Hopping cities and countries
allowed me to connect with diverse designers across the globe, shaping my perspective in design and Teaming'

I felt disconnected from the business of decision-making and the consumers using the products—was it meaningful I pondered? Why wasn’t I in the room when decisions were made?
This is what led me to pursue my Master’s in Design Strategy
at HongKong Polytechnic University, School Of Design.
HONG KONG
When working at a Design Studio in Hong Kong,
I learned cultural inclusivity. Guiding clients of the West to expand their digital footprint in China, allowed me understand nuances of bridging cultural gaps while adapting strategies for local markets.
ASIA PACIFIC
MUMBAI
My passion for healthcare, led me to return back to India and pursue a role which offered more depth. In Mumbai, working for the US healthcare market and an organization that was tech led taught me to balance design within tech and compliance constraints, work in agile set ups beyond the textbook. Partnering with developers meant safeguarding user experiences from being buried in backlogs.
My focus currently?

Today, as a Lead Strategic Designer at BCG, I drive impact across APAC Projects. BCG known for it's niche in management taught me to practice design applying the 80-20 rule— delivering quality under tight deadlines and with limited information.
